They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed  Psalm 34:5

The Youngs Literal Translation of the Bible puts the verse above in this manner They looked expectingly unto Him, And they became bright, And their faces are not ashamed. (YLT). When you look unto God and not unto men, you cannot be ashamed. The reason for this is not farfetched. It is because He alone is the All Sufficient God.

Sometimes when we have some people around us we become so confident that this people will always be there for us. We think that we can always go to them when we need anything but then, somewhere along the line, they begin to disappoint us.

People say they are looking up to God and they are secretly hoping in the abilities of some men and the power of their pockets. As you pray to God you are also hoping that God will use someone in your mind to fix a challenge you are facing or a problem you need to solve.

Remember that men (male and female) will always be men. We all are limited in resources and in capacity. Even the man that you are looking up to desperately needs help regardless of the fact that it is not obvious.

A man can make a promise to you and make you feel so relaxed. Men will tell you never to worry that they have everything planned or figured out for you but at the last minute, when no other alternative can be sort, they will disappoint you.

Dont get used to dealing with men because it comes with a lot of headaches. Get used to dealing with God. It is only God that will not disappoint you. We are clearly told that anyone who looks to God will not be ashamed.

The scripture even says their faces were radiant. So in the middle of all the troubles killing other people or taking their peace away, you can become radiant. Others are weighed down by troubles but when they see you they see the glory of God upon you. they see you shinning and cannot understand how you are still able to shine in the middle of all the troubles.

Maybe thats why others tell you that you are looking really good but deep down within you, all is not well. Keep looking unto God. Psalms 22:5 says, They cried to You, and were delivered; They trusted in You, and were not ashamed. (NKJV). Only God can truly deliver you when you cry to him. Sometimes when you cry to men they will respond with their own cries as well. when you show them some challenges they will show you the numerous challenges they also have to face.

Trust only in the all sufficient God and look only unto the all sufficient God. When you constantly do this then you will be free from the heartaches associated with trusting men and you will not be ashamed because God will not let you be ashamed.

I pray that all the things you have been trusting God for will be speedily attended to. As you trust in God, you will not be put to shame. As you look unto him, your face will be radiant and you will have cause to laugh all the days of your life, in Jesus name.
