Help from above | © Fola Daniel Adelesi

And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. “The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” – Exodus 14:13-14

A man certainly needs help from above when he is faced with a situation he can’t handle by himself. Sometimes he even sets out to do things and everything looks fine until it gets out of hand. You may think you just want to do something little and it spirals out of control. In that moment, you begin to see that you can’t handle things by yourself anymore and you need help from above.

In the text above, God wanted to deliver the children of Israel from the Egyptians. He had done some miracles to show that He was powerful enough to bring anyone out of captivity. Israel then got into a very difficult position after escaping from Egypt; there was the red sea in front of them and the Egyptian host was coming after them. In this kind of situation, skill or connection cannot save you. Strategy or intelligence will fail you. Only help from above can save anyone.

The children of Israel were about to despair when they saw what they were faced with. They thought that must have been their end. They even said to Moses that he brought them into the wilderness to come and die because there were no graves in Egypt. There was nothing they could think about except dying.

Thankfully, Moses understood the fact that the one who called him is from above and is above all. When he sends help, his help will be all encompassing; no man here on earth will be able to counter the help or defeat you by virtue of the help from above. His help will take you out of impossible situations.

So rather than focus on the murmurings of the people, Moses looked up to God. Remember the Psalmist says, ‘I will lift up my eyes to the hills-From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.’(Psalm 121:1-2). When you are in a desperate situation, you should look up to God and cry out to him for help. That’s the only way you can receive help from above. If you try to help yourself, you will eventually complicate the issues the more.

Did Moses get help when he cried? Sure he did. He even got the kind of help that no military intelligence could provide. God parted the red sea in front of the children of Israel and they walked across on dry ground. The Egyptian host did not know that the dry ground in between the sea that they were looking at was God’s help for his children. They wanted to walk into God’s help for his children to destroy them but God already had plans for their destruction. I pray that everyone who wants to walk into God’s help for you in order to mess you up or destroy you, God will destroy them in Jesus name.

You have gone through enough and now, help will come to you from above in Jesus name. As you go about your daily activities, you will receive help in Jesus name. Whatever issue you need help for will be resolved this month through God’s help from above. God bless you.
