Ingredients of Success 5 – Push │© Fola Daniel Adelesi

Maybe you’ve heard those words, ‘give it a push!’ If you are going to succeed at anything you have to learn how to give it a push! You may want to call it the little extra effort! Sometimes it’s the little touch that you add to the final details. In some cases it could be something that you have almost given up on but you just decide to make one more call about it. To push means that you are willing to put more resources into things again to get your desired result! Sometimes a few things happen that may discourage you but you are willing to go on! Whatever it is that you are doing you have to give it a push until you make it happen! In fact, some people say PUSH is actually the acronym for Pray Until Something Happens!

I believe strongly that you have to keep pushing physically and I also believe that there are certain things that are beyond human controls and for that, it is very important to pray until something happens! As we pray, we open our hearts to God and admit that we may not be able to do so much with our human ability if He does not help us. We also invite him to help us and give us more wisdom to do what needs to be done. When we show some humility about the fact that we need some help beyond our limited intelligence, God shows us that those difficult things can be really cheap for us! He does help people with what they need to do regardless of what anyone thinks.

That is not to say that pushing is to be left for some super powers or the ability of deities alone. We as human beings really have to push! Permit me to make reference to a popular story in the Bible as related by Jesus. He told us about a woman who constantly went to a Judge in order to get justice. It was recorded that the judge does not fear God and fears no man! With that in mind, the judge will not take any decision just to favour anyone out of fear. This woman who went to the judge to seek justice will not stop going to the judge even though the judge was turning her down. One day, the judge got tired of the woman’s push for justice and decided to listen to her. Finally she got the justice she had been seeking.

Have you ever met anyone who talked so much about something he or she wanted from you that began to feel either irritated or you just felt like running away? You may not like it in most cases when you are at the receiving end of the drama but the person who has become pushy will get the desired results out of the situation!

Sometimes when you refuse to push, you will never get anything out of life! Whatever it is that you have attempted before or you are thinking about, remember to give it a push until you get your desired results!
