‘And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places…’ – Ephesians 1:19-20 NKJV
Now that we are looking a theme called ‘raised up,’ we must see that the word of God is trying to show us something about ourselves. However, the way the word puts it is to first show us what was done to Christ and to let us see that anything God did for Christ can also be done in our lives.
One of the texts we recently considered, which is our principal text for this theme is Romans 8:11. It says, ‘But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quiken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.
It therefore means that The God who raised Jesus and put him far above principalities will not watch you in a state of suppression and frustration. He can’t just keep watching you go through all that you are going through. He is such a compassionate God that wants the very best for all his children. He can’t watch you go through oppression and not do anything about it.
That’s why the Bible says that he that the son sets free is free indeed. Now what God has done for us is not just to set us free, like Christ was freed from the grave, he also raised us up. You need to note that God is not about to raise you up. He has already raised you up. He has ensured he raised you to the untouchable enviable position.
The scripture that we have above in Ephesians 1 says God raised Christ as seated him in heavenly places. The interesting thing is that it is not only Christ that is seated in heavenly places. Colossians 2: 9 – 10 says, ‘For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and YOU are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. When the Bible says you are complete in Christ, it means you were also raised up when Christ was raised and made to seat in heavenly places.
What does this mean for you? It means God places as much importance on you as he placed on Christ. If you are complete in Christ and raised up with him, it means anything that can’t touch Christ cannot touch you. You remain far above principalities and powers. They are under your feat and you are already a victoriuos person.
The devil will want to make you feel you are useless but that is not you. Get to know who you are in Christ. See how much God values you and the height where he placed you. Begin to operate in this mandate and power.
You have been raised together with Christ. You are not an object for the devil or any demon. Don’t forget this and you will see how far the devil will stand from you. Remember to always put him in his place and God will give you constant victory in Jesus name.
