The struggle will not strangle you! │© Fola Daniel Adelesi

When we go through our many struggles in life putting in all efforts, it sometimes may look like we are going to die. It may appear as though our efforts will never get us to our desired destination but there is something that comes out of it all. Some of those struggles may truly not yield as we expect and some of those efforts may bear no fruits but they will stretch us. What we go through in life is not only to get the results we desire. What we go through in life is to also help us grow stronger and wiser.

I remember I was to speak in a meeting and I started using myself as an example in the meeting. My wife went with me to the meeting so she started asking me after the meeting why I used myself a lot as an example. She probably thought I just might be disconnecting with some people but I made her understand that in public speaking, the story is a bit different. People want to listen to you but you also have to give them a reason to believe you. When you are talking to people about how to go through their struggles you must have some stories to tell because those stories add to the credibility of what you are saying. It is even more acceptable if the stories are your own stories. So in essence, some speakers have to go through what they are going through so that when they stand to talk, they will have something tangible to say. It is the same for everybody in different field!

What you seem to be struggling with is for a purpose. Sometimes you may know the purpose and at other times you may not know the purpose. It is not your knowledge of the purpose for your struggles that really matters right now but how you handle the struggle and what you make of it. Napoleon Hill said, ‘strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle. If you don’t get through with this one then you will never grow and when you don’t grow them you will never get a chance to tell a good story to other people about what you went through in life and how they can learn from you. If you fail the can still learn from you but it will be a better experience if you are the success story they have around, can relate with and also propels them to succeed.

You may be struggling right now but I believe so much that your struggle will not strangle you! It will only strengthen you! I should also say that the choice is still yours as well. If you do not make the most of the struggle then it can strangle you rather than strengthen you. How do you make the most of your struggle?
Know who you are.
Understand why you are doing what you are doing.
Be sure you are not into anything just to impress some other people.
Have clear life goals so that every challenge will be worth it because of the goal. Move along in life with those who will encourage you to always forge ahead.

We need to reckon with the fact that as humans it is easy for us to get discouraged. And when we do, it is important that we take a quick dose of motivation if not we are going to lose all the faith we have in anything. When we lose faith or hope in everything then there is not much we can make out of our own life.

Never lose your hope. Never lose faith and never give up on your struggles. Very soon you will see the better days you have hoped for and you will be glad that you did not give up! From that victory, you will draw the strength to motivate others to victory!
