We can help ourselves succeed! | Fola Daniel Adelesi, ASM, ACL, Wcc

In our present day society I have realized that it’s so easy for a lot people to hold back from helping the people they have the capacity to help sometimes because they do not want the person to be more successful than they are. That’s really very interesting to me considering the fact that I grew up in a house where I was given the impression you have to help people at every opportunity you get.

My father was that kind of person that just wants to look for an opportunity to do something for you. He keeps waiting for an opportunity to bless you or give you something. With that kind of picture in my mind, I would have thought that every other person around had that kind of heart that’s really willing to help others instead of trying to pull them down or trying hard to make sure they do not surpass where you are.

It’s not worth the stress that you are giving yourself. When you have the capacity to help others you should do it willingly and forget about the fact that they may seem to be succeeding more than you are at the moment. The universe is governed by laws and those laws will always work in favour of our actions or against them.

It’s a law that when you give you are the one who will be more blessed even if it does not seem to be so immediately. Apart from the benefits we even expect from each other, we need to rise to that level in life where we can just keep helping people without looking what they can give in return. After all I don’t think it should be called help if you are expecting the person to be able to payback for all you are doing.

We need to help ourselves succeed by doing what we can in any little way for that person around us. We should wake up on daily basis and ask ourselves what we are doing to help another person achieve a dream! Sometimes some people say they don’t have money. I don’t really expect it to be about money! If you just look close enough at what someone is doing you just might be able to tell easily what the person is struggling with and you can help. In some other cases where it is not obvious then you can walk up to the person and ask, ‘I would really like to help out but I don’t know what to help you with. How may I help you?’

When we begin to live our lives with the consciousness of helping each other to succeed, we will realize that some of the things we are also struggling with are becoming easier and easier. Solutions come faster to us and we begin to move on easily in life. Life, again, is governed by laws. When you help someone solve a problem, you may look back and realize you have solved a problem for yourself.

Bearing this in mind, let’s all go out there trying to help someone. You may even begin to make a list of the people you want to help and you can write out how you want to help them. Start taking the things one after the other. Some other people don’t need money or any of those big or expensive materials that you have. They just need encouragement. Whatever happens, we must encourage ourselves to succeed by helping ourselves instead of trying to peg each other’s progress. When you know who you are you will not be afraid about another person succeeding!

Believe in yourself and believe well enough in another person to help them!
