You should never come into this world without discovering who you were meant to be. You should always remember why you came and state clearly what you came to do. Until you achieve this seemingly simple but complicated question of why you are here, your stay here on earth can’t be meaningful. In order to make your stay here on earth meaningful and have a beautiful life, these are 10 out of numerous other reasons you should know who you are and what you came to do: 1. The world is waiting for you – ‘For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.’ Romans 8:18-19 KJV. ‘Sons’ in that verse also includes the daughters of God and you are loaded with precious gifts that must manifest to the world. The world is waiting to see God’s deposits inside you. Don’t let it stay dormant in there without letting it out. 2. We are co-creators with God – ‘For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.’ 1Corinthians 3:9 NKJV. ‘For we are fellow workmen (joint promoters, laborers together) with and for God; you are God’s garden and vineyard and field under cultivation, [you are] God’s building.’ 1 Corinthians 3:9 AMPC. So you must know that you are a co-creator with God and when you do things according to the will of God, you are creating the things that God gave you the privilege to create. You must know who you are so that yoyu can do your part in the co-creation with God. 3. God predestined us – ‘For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.’ Ro 8:29 NKJV. You already know that destination means where you are going. ‘Pre’ means before and that means before you came to this earth, you had a ‘destination’ set before hand. If you will know who you are then you will start the journey towards that ‘predestination.’ When you are predestined, it means there are assignments set before you came here. You have to find out what these are and follow that path of pre-destination. 4. We were given gifts to use on earth – Jesus gave what we popularly refer to as the parable of the talents in Mathew 25: 14 – 30. This shows that we all were given gifts that we must use here on earth. There will be no excuse to say you didn’t know your gifts or you had no platforms to express those gifts. There is something in your hand and it may look insignificant but that’s all you need. You don’t need a big gift to make great impact. One small gift that is used consistently is enough to make all the impact you need to make. 5. The gifts we were given must be accounted for – We must account for those gifts. Two of the servants in the parable mentioned earlier traded with the gifts and the last one did not. The last one who did not trade with that gift was referred to as unprofitable servant. Jesus said in verse 30, ‘And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ What are your gifts and what are you supposed to do with those gifts? Find out what those gifts are and their purpose in order to join the co-creation privilege God has offered us.
